On Saturday 25th May 2019, Ducati Glasgow were invited along to Perth Bike Night to bring their absolutely stunning range of Italian machinery to the heart of Scotland to showcase their products and tell their stories to help Perth Bike Night, raise money for a very special charity, Brothers In Arms.
Location: Perth Bike Night, Noah’s ark, Old Gallows Road, Western Edge, PERTH, PH1 1QE
Although it was a damp and soggy night, spirits were high as the focus on the night was on raising money for Brothers In Arms. Brothers In Arms are a charity offering support to men in Scotland, of any age, who are down or in crisis and empowers them to ask for help when they need it, without feeling a failure if they do.
Taken from the Brothers in Arms Website; “We want to work with men so that they can feel respect and be comfortable with the message and mission we want to get across, that there is a cultural barrier preventing men from seeking help because they are expected to be in control at all times, and failure to be seen as such feels like a weakness and a loss of masculinity. We want men to believe that they can seek and find help when they need it so that male suicide can be prevented.”

Martin Rees, Managing Director of Ducati Glasgow added, “Perth Bike Night is a great event, and although it’s pretty wet and miserable, we are all here to do our bit for Brothers In Arms, so the atmosphere is actually really great! People are openly talking about their mental health and difficult situations, which we have all experienced, it’s actually quite motivating and I can see that this event, having bikes here, chatting to everyone, fundraising and raising awareness of Brothers In Arms - it’s definitely been worthwhile."
Funds were raised by means of a £2 on-the-gate entry fee and the sale of raffle tickets for prizes which were donated by Ducati Glasgow amongst other numerous bike dealers, local businesses and even bike night attendees. Even with the weather effecting attendance numbers, with only 40 riders braving the torrential rain, an incredible £400 was raised on the night for Brothers In Arms.
The Italian manufacturer had a great selection of 2019 bikes on display, a model from nearly every range, including the Panigale V4 Corse with it’s exclusive livery inspired the official colours of the MotoGP Ducati Team, the affordable performance tourer: Supersport, as well as one of the most iconic Ducati models: The Monster 821. For the more adventurous rider there was also the range topping Multistrada 1260 S, cruiser-style Diavel 1260 S and a stylish Scrambler Cafe Racer.
Perth Bike Night is on the last Saturday on the month, every month between April and September and is held at Noah’s Ark, Old Gallows Road, Western Edge, PERTH, PH1 1QE.
