A track experience for both rookies and seasoned track day goers. Designed to create an experience for all! Open to all makes of motorcycle

WHERE? - KNOCKHILL RACING CIRCUIT

WHEN? - FRIDAY 26TH AUGUST 2022 1PM-5PM
(please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start)

The experience will be open to two separate groups running from 1pm-5pm. The first group being a “Road Bike Group” specifically for “Track Rookies”. If you’ve never been on track with your bike and always fancied a go then this group is for you.

ONLY Rookies will be included in this group allowing you to “Experience” the track without any fear. Everyone with you on track will be in the same boat!

Do you own a Multistrada, Monster, Panigale, Supersport, Hypermotard, Diavel, Scrambler, Streetfighter to name a few and wanted to know what it would be like to ride freely and safely on track?

We will offer you on track support and help you with your maiden track experience.

The Road Bike Group will benefit from 4 x 20 Minute sessions over the afternoon with guidance from experienced track riders. There will be help on hand to answer your questions and listen to your experiences as you go.

The second group is for “Track Bikes” or seasoned “Road Bike” riders which will include 4 x 40 Minute Open sessions.

Light refreshments & snacks will be supplied for all riders.

NB – The Road Bike Group is to aid the first timers, if you have been on circuit previously then the Track Group is for you.

DUCATI MONSTERS

Can any type of motorcycle come along?

Yes of course! Our track nights are held by Ducati Glasgow, although you don’t need to have a Ducati to come along! Our track nights are open to all makes of bike - we’ve even had a BMW R1200 GS on the circuit! Note that we do no hire out bikes for track nights, you must bring along your own bike.

Can my friends and family come and watch?

Yes of course - the more the merrier! There is a cafe and seating on site so bring along your fans!

What are the rules?

Over-taking is done only in straight lines, either on the brakes or on the straights. We always recommend leaving the corner overtaking manoeuvres to the racers and the professionals.
 
Track misbehaviour is simply not tolerated by either Ducati Glasgow or Knockhill. Every rider is on track will be riding their pride and joy so it is a very courteous environment, there is no fairing bashing and it is not a race. There is no noise testing at Knockhill.

What are the requirements / do I need to bring with me?

Riders must be over 21 and hold a valid UK motorcycle driving licence. You must bring your driving licence to the track event if you wish to ride on circuit.
 
You must also have a helmet, boots and gloves with you, and be wearing a one-piece leather suit or a full, all-the-way-around zip together two-piece suit. Short 4" or 5" inch zips are not permitted, the zip must go all the way around to connect jackets and trousers. When booking a track night you confirm that you meet these requirements.

       

       

BOOKINGS

There is limited space on these events. Due to this limit our Track Events usually sell out over a month in advance. If you wait until the day of the event you will almost certainly be disappointed. Please book your ticket with plenty of time to spare.

Booking a Track Event as a Gift
You can purchase track events as gifts, as long as the rider meets our requirements. The rider will need to contact us prior to the event to ensure we have their details in order for them to sign-on.
 
 

Terms, Conditions and Refunds
We will always attend whatever the weather, if you choose to cancel because of the weather that is at your discretion and no refund will be given. We will offer refunds in the highly unlikely event that Knockhill were to cancel. You will be notified of this as soon as we are made aware of this situation. Please always give your phone number and email address at the time of booking.


You may not offer your space to someone else in the event you cannot attend as we at Ducati Glasgow hold a reserve list and any spaces available will be allocated to those on the reserve list on a first come-first served basis. When booking a track night you confirm that you meet these requirements, refunds will not be given if these requirements are not met. If you have booked a track night as a gift, you have confirmed that the rider meets our requirements. The rider must contact us prior to the track night to ensure we have their details in order for them to sign-on for the track night.

Information for Photographers and Media:
Whether you are a photographer / videographer, either amateur or professional you must seek permission from Knockhill before attending. Knockhill has their own event photographer who attends some of our track nights and has the contract to take photographs at our events. For this reason, you are not permitted to sell any photos or videos taken at our Track Nights without Knockhill’s permission.
