Would you like to join our award winning family?
We are currently recruiting for a new member
to join our award winning WORKSHOP team
We are one of Scotland's fastest growing motorcycle dealerships. Over the last seven years, we have steadily become known as a dependable and trustworthy organisation that specialises in a friendly and personal motorcycle ownership experience. This reputation extends to our workshop and is of paramount importance you should consider this when applying for this position.
What kind of person are we looking for?
- Ideally we are looking for someone with a successful track record in a busy workshop.
- We are looking for a technician with a history of training and established workshop protocol with at least three years' experience with any other manufacturer.
You will need to demonstrate a track record with a methodical attention to detail.
- You need to be a passionate biker and hold a full car and motorcycle licence.
- The team here is most important. You will have to be able to use your initiative and work on your own but even more importantly you will have to gel with a successful team and add to their collective talents.
- You must be trustworthy, reliable and a good timekeeper.
- You will need to be flexible. Very occasionally you might have to work late and you will be required to work on a Saturday (closed on Sunday & Monday) and once or twice a year at shows or events.
- You must be warm and friendly to every single person you meet in the store. We are renowned for our service to our customers and prospective clients.
- You must be computer literate. We will give training on each of our I.T. systems but knowing basic computer skills is an absolute must.
- You must be well groomed, presentable to our customers and able to communicate proficiently at any level.
A technician position in our store is a job of significant responsibility. Our customers expect their bikes to be able to perform as they were intended every time we work on them. Any technician working in our store has to be able to offer exacting standards of excellence on a daily basis.
Our normal practice is to send our technicians to Italy (for a 3 to 5 day training course) every year to ensure their skills are kept up to date. You must be willing and available to attend this course.
Not to mention the chance to represent one of the biggest and arguably the best brands in motorcycling history. You will also get the chance to ride some of the best motorcycles ever produced on a daily basis.
This is a truly rewarding position, meeting (and working with) some fabulous characters. You will learn lots about the motorcycle industry and gain countless transferable skills.
The pay package will reflect the right persons background and experience.
